Talking Skills with the Peterhead Energy Transition Forum at Peterhead Academy

It may have been Friday the 13th, but there was no bad luck for Acorn as we joined colleagues from industry and Aberdeenshire Council to represent the Peterhead Energy Transition Forum in a session with the Pupil Council at Peterhead Academy.
What began as a simple introduction to the Forum quickly developed into a lively discussion about the opportunities that could come from future energy‑infrastructure investment.
Pupils asked thoughtful questions about community funds, jobs, skills, and entry‑level apprenticeship pathways — highlighting a strong interest in the careers emerging from Scotland’s energy transition.
We’re pleased to work alongside industry, academia, and local government to help ensure future jobs and skills‑development opportunities are as accessible as possible for local young people.
