Webinar to explore ‘The Role of Acorn Hydrogen in Enabling UK Net Zero’
Join report authors Silvian Baltac and Emrah Durusut from Element Energy, Acorn Hydrogen Project Manager, Tim Dumenil, and Mark Taylor, Deputy Director for Energy Innovation Science and Innovation for Climate and Energy at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), for an introduction and overview of the recently published ‘Hydrogen in Scotland: The Role of Acorn Hydrogen in Enabling UK Net Zero’ report.
The Hydrogen in Scotland report examines three hydrogen growth scenarios for Scotland in order to characterise and define what the role for hydrogen (and consequently the role for Acorn Hydrogen) may be in a transitioning Scotland. The report explores the impacts of these three different growth scenarios in terms of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions and economic growth opportunities, concluding that Acorn Hydrogen is a critical Net Zero enabling project, creating several physical and intangible assets that Scotland and the UK could use in the energy transition, unlocking substantial economic growth opportunities and facilitating early industrial decarbonisation in the UK and Europe.
